The epic start

Here is my beloved:) not much but a first love is special. Cleaned him this morning so he's ready for an epic quilting adventure! I have a magnet and a few cork boards to keep my many designs on, a modest area but in this blog I'll be documenting my quilt endeavors. Although being a 20 year old college student doesn't allow for much time to be creative with quilting I will be attempting all shapes and sizes of quilting projects. As of yet I have only made one REAL quilt.
I began quilting at 13 with my dear aunt whom I love to death, I learned a few basics making a few tops of just simple square blocks sewn to a blanket for a backing, "quilting" it with various buttons or yarn: ) I continue to learn from my aunt and other talented quilters, online and in person. I cant wait to start some fun quilts and make her proud: )
A fun fact about my quilting, I have not purchased a single piece of fabric, I have an ongoing add on CL asking for any quilters scrap fabrics and make all my projects out of up-cycled means. It goes along with my personality, using what I have and giving fabric sitting in the bottom of the bin a chance to be a beautiful blanket: )
